What is stored, and what is not

Written in plain English rather than legal language, because a privacy page nobody can read protects nobody.

What the app holds about you

Three things are collected about you, and nothing else:

Alongside those sit the things you enter yourself, which are your record rather than information about you: the periods you gave, the prayers you have recorded, and the dates you joined and last signed in.

That is the whole list. No date of birth, no address, no phone number, no location, no tracking, no advertising code, no analytics service watching what you do, and no third party receiving anything at all.

Your email address, and the only two reasons it is asked for

Were it not for those two, it would not be asked for at all. It is not sold, not shared, not added to any mailing list, and never used to market anything to you.

Who can see your prayer figures

Nobody. Not other users, not the administrator, not the developer.

What you have missed is known to you and to the Almighty. It is not something that should be shared, it is not looked at here, and it is not disclosed to anyone.

This is enforced in the app itself rather than left as a promise. The administration screen lists accounts by name, username, email, joining date and last sign in. It shows no totals, no outstanding figures and no progress. The activity log was rebuilt for the same reason, so that prayer counts cannot be inferred from it either.

Backups

The app backs itself up automatically so that nobody loses years of counting to a server fault. Those backups are encrypted at the moment they are created, using a public key held on the server.

The server holds only the half of the key that can lock. It does not hold the half that can unlock. That private key is kept offline, away from the hosting entirely, which means a person who gained access to the server would obtain files they cannot open.

Notifications

Reminders are optional and off until you switch them on. When one is sent, the message carries no content at all. It is an empty signal that tells your phone to wake the app up, and the app then decides what to show you on your own device.

This means nothing about your prayers passes through Apple, Google or anyone else's notification service.

Cookies

One, and only while you are signed in. It keeps you signed in and does nothing else. There are no advertising or tracking cookies, so there is no banner asking you to accept any.

Deleting your account

Ask, and the account and its record are removed. Encrypted backups made before that point are cycled out over time as newer ones replace them.

Children

The app is intended for adults making up prayers from their own past. It asks for no date of birth and no personal detail beyond the short list above.

If something changes

Anything material will be said plainly inside the app rather than quietly edited into this page.

How to reach us

Through the contact form, which is the only route there is. There is no email address to write to and no individual to contact, by design. Anything sent through the form arrives inside the app and is read.

The app itself is behind Login

These pages explain what Qaza Tracker is. The counting, the recording and your own figures all live in the app, which opens once you log in and stays open until you sign out.
